Some tips for your photoshoot
Newborn Shoots
Info for Newborns
If possible bring baby just dressed in a baby grow with no vest underneath, this makes it easier to start the shoot straight away especially if baby is asleep on arrival to the studio.
No socks to be put on baby please to avoid marks on baby's legs.
If possible feed baby before getting to the studio and bring plenty of spare milk if applicable and a soother if baby takes ones. There will be plenty of opportunities to feed your baby throughout the shoot, you can heat bottles here and there is a nice comfy chair for breastfeeding too, above all there is no rush so let's just play it by ear on the day. Baby knows best!
What to wear - Applicable to all shoots!
A plain coloured top, shirt, blouse is recommended. I generally recommend to stay away from bold patterns & logos if possible as they date and you want your photos to be timeless. Perhaps bring a spare top too as nappy accidents do happen!! Neutral colours work best but a simple black t-shirt can be very effective too. Any questions, just ask!
Parking
I have ample onsite parking. Please pull into the drive for your own convenience.
Refreshments
I am happy to supply bottled water, tea and coffee and will always have something sweet to keep you going!
Duration
Please allow up to 3 hours for your newborn photoshoot. Babies can be unpredictable and I like to allow plenty of time to create those special memories of your new bundle of joy. All other portrait shoots will take between 1-2 hours.
Props
This Studio is fully kitted out with many newborn props. From stunning headbands, delicate little hats, to handmade wraps and blankets. I will call you before your shoot to discuss colour scheme and backdrops with you, I have a colour and style to suit everyone's home decor.
Scratch Marks and Editing
Most newborns will have some marks or scratches on their delicate skins. Don't worry this is all dealt with in the editing room. Once the shoot has taken place I will ask you how you would like me to edit your photos, I can leave them natural or remove blemishes/scars etc, its really up to you.
Siblings at a Newborn Shoot and what to expect
If you are planning on bringing a sibling(s) these shots are usually taken at the start of the shoot, then my advise would be to bring a spare adult with you who can take them for a walk or to the local playground whilst I capture the newborn shots.
Session Fees
I require a €50 deposit at the time of booking with the remainder payable on the day of your photo shoot.
When you book in I will schedule a call at a time thats convenient to you and we can through any questions you may have then.
